The Charlotte Project
Charlotte Atkinson was one of the most accomplished women of her era and she lived in the Southern Highlands at Oldbury Farm in Sutton Forest

She was a pioneer in the fight for women’s legal rights becoming the first Australian woman to secure legal custody of her own children

She was an extraordinary trailblazer in women’s education
Help us to raise $80,000 for a commemorative statue recognising charlotte Atkinson, to be erected at Berrima park

The Charlotte Project is part of a worldwide movement for commemorative justice in celebration of significant historical women in our communities.
Charlotte’s story is remarkable. Her statue will be the first statue of a real woman in the Southern Highlands.

The Charlotte Project Appeal is a campaign hosted by The Southern Highlands Foundation.
